Texture powder - powder for thickening paints, creating pastes and crackles (formerly called *Magic Powder).

An organic powder that transforms any paint or medium into a smooth, textured paste. The effect is achieved by thoroughly mixing it with water-based paints, inks, acrylic paints, and other media. Adding a small amount of powder to the medium creates a perfectly stiff paste that can be used with the most elaborate masks and stencils. This product is matte, so any paste you create will also be matte.

How to use:

Add a small amount of powder to paint or other medium in a separate container, mix thoroughly with a spatula, and stir until the powder is completely mixed with the medium. Depending on the amount of powder added, the paste will be more or less thick. To make the paste durable and waterproof, add a acrylic medium (e.g., gel medium or liquid acrylic medium; this is not necessary when using acrylic paints). Adding a large amount of powder to the medium (e.g., white gesso 13 arts) will cause the paste to become very thick and stiff and crack after drying. This can create interesting cracked effects in your work.
