A powder for creating a natural rust effect. Suitable for use on paper, canvas, metal, and other decorative items.

Instructions for use:

1. Mix the powder with gel medium or Multimedium 13 Arts and apply it to your artwork or selected elements with a spatula or brush. You can also apply the gel medium first, then sprinkle the powder over it, which will adhere to the gel. The most interesting effects are achieved on a dark background (you can use black gesso or Vivid Vintage paints, for example).
2. Then, pour the rust reagent (pictured - purchased separately) over the applied powder to activate the corrosion process. You can also spray it with vinegar, but the effect is more intense and faster with the reagent, which is odorless.
3. Allow to dry for 12-24 hours. We do not recommend drying with a heater due to the possibility of releasing harmful substances. If drying with a heater, do so with an open window or outdoors.
4. The final effect is a rough, rusty texture that can be subtly tinted with paints or mists to achieve a more natural effect, such as turquoise. Microbeads can also be added for a more intense texture.
5. The process can be repeated several times to obtain a better effect or a thicker layer of rust.
